• Closer to home, teams generally held favor in their respective state and surrounding regions. For instance, the Boston Celtics are the most supported team in New England states like New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.
• More localized support was visible in states like Indiana and Oklahoma, where the Indiana Pacers and Oklahoma City Thunder are favored, respectively.
